“Hurt” was written by Trent Reznor and first released on Nine Inch Nails's 1994 album The Downward Spiral. In 2002, the song was covered wonderfully and to great success by Country music legend Johnny Cash—it was his very last hit (he died in 2003).
But the most impressive thing about the song was its accompanying video, featuring images from Cash's life. It was named the best video of the year by the Grammy Awards and Country Music Awards.
The video is not, perhaps, an easy-listening and watching experience—though I absolutely love it—but it could be very suitable to Holy Week.
P.S. I will be off for a few days, returning after Easter. A blessed Holy Week to you all.
