Faith follows this profound voice in places that even art itself cannot reach alone. It follows it along the path of witness, in the giving of self for love, as Cecilia did. Thus the most beautiful work of art, the masterpiece of human beings, is each of their acts of authentic love: from the smallest (in everyday sacrifice) unto the extreme sacrifice. At this point life itself becomes a hymn; an anticipation of the symphony we will sing together in heaven. ”

The humility of knowing one's microscopic place in relation to the universe. The consciousness that we, every form of life, and everything existing, are a minute yet intregal part of all this vast yet intricate, universal mechanism in perpetual motion. The certainty that the creator of all this, be him God or Mother Nature, determines not only our existence and our character, but also our path and our destiny, can only inspire art. Art is the homage to this fabulous creation. It has always been, from the caves of Lascaux throughout the history of civilisation.
